Job Description

LRC Logistics is looking for a Transport Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our delivery operations. You’ll help plan jobs, speak with drivers, update customers and make sure collections and deliveries are running as smoothly as possible.

This role is ideal for someone organised, calm under pressure and confident speaking with both drivers and customers throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate daily collections, deliveries and driver schedules.

• Communicate with drivers throughout the day to monitor progress.

• Keep customers updated on timings, delays and delivery information.

• Support route planning and job allocation.

• Record job details accurately on internal systems.

• Help resolve issues quickly when deliveries change or delays occur.

• Work closely with the wider operations team to keep jobs moving.

Basic Requirements

• Strong organisation and communication skills.

• Confident speaking on the phone and handling customer queries.

• Able to stay calm and practical when plans change.

• Good attention to detail when entering job information.

• Comfortable using basic computer systems, email and spreadsheets.

• A reliable, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, courier operations or customer service.

• Knowledge of delivery planning, routes or driver coordination.

• Experience working in a busy office or operations environment.

• Confident using transport management systems or booking platforms.
